San Francisco, CA – We are very excited to announce the addition of two new members to the LRC team: Dr. William Warren, as a member of the Board of Directors, and Dr. Frederik Schulz, as Visiting Scientist. Dr. Warren currently serves as Vice President at Sanofi Pasteur, where he is Global Head of Antigen Design for the vaccine portfolio. He was CEO and Co-Founder of VaxDesign before it was acquired by Sanofi in 2010. Dr. Schulz is a Research Scientist at the Joint Genome Institute (DoE), and leads the New Lineages of Life (NeLLi) group. "I am excited to participate and contribute to the journey of LRC. Life is full of uncertainty and complexity; I view LRC to be akin to the Lewis and Clark explorers, untangling and unpacking scientific inquiries and creating new opportunities at the same time," said Dr. Warren, who will work with LRC staff to develop new projects in LRC's mission space. Dr. Schulz, who is also famous for his work on giant viruses, will lend his expertise in developing programs in symbiosis and biological complexity. Welcome to the team Bill and Frederik!
